Welcome to my last day of my Growing in Unity Girl week!!! I am happy that I was able to share some of my creations with you. I've listed all the days below to make it easier for you to find my posts.

Day 5 Friday (this post)

For today's post, I used Strength & Dignity {KOM 11/13} and Faceless Beauty to create a colorful shaker card. These are always so fun to create and especially since I have switched over to using fun foam instead of foam tape.

I used Lil Inker Designs' Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles Dies to die-cut the outer frame from watercolor paper and then taped acetate sheet behind it. I took a size A2 watercolor paper for the inner part of the shaker and stamped the big flower from Strength & Dignity a few times with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiment from Faceless Beauty with VersaMark ink and heat embossed that in gold, too. Embossing is a great resistant when coloring. I used Altenew inks in Ruby Red, Grapevine and Warm Sunshine to do the watercoloring of the flowers. I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to color in blue around the flowers. I didn't color the whole background since I felt like leaving some part of it white would look good.

Once that was all done, I started filling the card with some sequins and beads from The Ton. This card is pretty full. A lot of the times, my friends don't know that you're supposed to shake a shaker...lol. So it's a good way to shake the card so you can read the sentiment. ;-) Hope you enjoyed my cards from this week! I have a new site I'm launching before the end of the month as well as an Etsy shop. Feel free to subscribe and/or check me on Instagram, where I tend to post the most.

Be sure to comment on each GIU post. I will be choosing two winners randomly from all comments — they will receive 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Co. The winners will be announced on my blog next Monday, July 20, and they will have two weeks to claim their prize.

Thank you so much for visiting! ♡♡♡

Welcome to day 4 of my Growing in Unity Girl week.

Day 4 Thursday (this post)
Day 5 Friday

For today's post, I used Strength & Dignity {KOM 11/13} and Gina and Me.

I stamped the large butterfly from the Strength & Dignity KOM and the small butterfly from Gina and Me set onto white cardstock with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed both with clear embossing powder. Then they were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I fussy cut them and set them aside.

I blended Picked Raspberry Distress Ink onto watercolor paper (4" x 5.25") with Ranger Ink blending tool and foam.

The sentiment is from Strength & Dignity KOM and was stamped with VersaMark on black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I assembled the butterflies on the card and attached the sentiment on the bottom of the card. I attached the piece to black cardstock and finished it off with some matching 4 mm sequins from The Ton. Sorry, these were really hard to photograph at night, but I hope you still like the card. :)

Welcome to day 3 of my Growing in Unity Girl week.

Day 3 Wednesday (this post)
Day 4 Thursday
Day 5 Friday

For today's post, I created a set of cards using Empowered Words. For those who don't know me well, I love being able to support and empower other people. When I craft, I find that most of the time I like to just let people know I'm thinking of them and want to send positive thoughts. This stamp set was gifted to me by a sweet crafty friend. You can see below that I created eight cards.

I am so proud of myself for creating some clean and simple ones, too. There were three combinations that I created: black and white, gold and white, and white on white. All the frames were from Paper Smooches Fancy Frames Icons Dies. These are some of my absolute favorite dies to play with. I die-cut a lot of frames and matching fun foam pieces in white, black, and gold. I stamped all the sentiments using VersaFine black dye ink. The background paper is from this amazing paper pad. The doilies were purchased from this eBay seller. The small flowers are from Altenew's Vintage Flowers and were stamped with Hero Arts ombre inks.

Creating this set was a great way of being able to use things like doilies, pattern paper, twine, embellishments, and even washi tape. Some of us like to hoard pretty things, myself included. So I'm happy I was able to use them. :)

I have a really hard time creating clean and simple cards so the following card is progress for me. I love the white on white look. It's so classy. I did add a touch of this minty green. I won't show off each card, but you can click the images above to get a closer look.

These quotes are so wonderful. I can't wait to send these cards to some of my dear friends. How amazing is this white, black, and pink combination below?

For the card below, I added some black gems and washi tape.

Were you inspired by today's cards? I would love to know what you think.

Welcome to day 2 of my Growing in Unity Girl week.

Day 2 Tuesday (this post)
Day 3 Wednesday
Day 4 Thursday
Day 5 Friday

For today's card, I used Love Brings You Home

This was also fairly simple to make and I love how it turned out! I stamped the world map onto watercolor paper (4" x 5.25") with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I watercolored with Peacock Feather Distress Ink around it and waited for one coat to dry so I could add another darker layer around the edges of the continents. I added splatters of white, gold and shimmer mists over it.

The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder as well. I fussy cut around it and attached to the center with foam tape. I added an Aquamarine Heart Gem with Scor-Tape and taped down the whole thing over a white cardbase.

I’m so excited because this week I’m the Growing in Unity (GIU) girl for Unity Stamps Company! Each day this week, I will be sharing a project on my blog.

I will link to all the posts daily to make it easier for you.

Day 1 Monday (this post)
Day 2 Tuesday
Day 3 Wednesday
Day 4 Thursday
Day 5 Friday

For my card today, I used stamps from Old Friends and Strength & Dignity {KOM 11/13}

First, I stamped the large floral arrangement from Strength & Dignity KOM on white cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed in gold. I colored in the florals and ferns with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in 003 Fl. Pink, 025 Pink, 029 Geranium Red, 082 Purple, and 047 May Green. These brush pens are GORGEOUS. I colored the background using 302 Haze Blue.

I stamped the sentiment from Old Friends on separate cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in gold as well. I die-cut it and attached it to the center with foam tape. I took a gold doily and glued it to the left side of my cardbase and cut off the excess. After I fussy cut the floral piece, I attached it over the gold doily in the center.

I added a Dark Pink Heart Gem from The Ton's latest gilding release to the center. I also added some matching sequins from Cinderella's Ride Couture Mix

What do you think of the card? I think it was quite simple to make. :)

Sept Challenges

This is for Mama Elephant's September challenge:

I made two easel cards, using kraft + black + white color combinations. For some reason, I absolutely love these colors together! I used stamps from Mama Elephant's Pandamonium and True Friend. The sentiment at the bottom is from Unity Stamp Co. Sorry, I took these pics at night time. Lighting is better during day, but I wanted to share it anyway.

I want to enter this into Va la Verve's September Challenge, using Week 1 Sketch.

Hear Me Roar FWF

I love Unity Stamp Co.'s empowering women stamp set. It's one of my favorite. It's hard trying to plan a card together, especially with the collection I've got now and all my patterned paper calling to me. If you want to share, I'd love to know how you plan out cards in advance. My craft journal has ideas, but it feels like information overload. And I really need to focus on readings this year since it's a significant year in the program. I find myself bouncing back and forth, thinking about social work and then crafting, lol. Both have become important to me. Thank you so much for your comments, and I hope you all have a great weekend!

This is being entered in today's Friends With Flair as well as Viva la Verve's September Challenge, using week 3 sketch.
