Sparkle

For these cards, I was inspired by Butterfly Reflections Ink December Mood Board:

I love the colors. I chose to work with this Sparkle & Shine set by WPlus9 and then realized I didn't know how to make the colors work, lol. I'll post my cards anyway.

Papertrey Ink December Blog Hop Challenge

As you can tell, I've been busy crafting. I'm trying to take advantage of the time I have off from school and field. Most people enter one card into challenges, but I use it as an excuse to make multiple cards (to justify all the purchases, lol). This is the first time I'm entering any Papertrey Ink challenge. I've got only a few of their products but whatever I do have, I really love their quality! I was so excited to get this bookmark die, this fancy bookmark die, this tag sale die and this Book Club stamp set. I have many, many plans for it all. I also have this Shakers + Sprinkles kit and SUPER LOVE IT! This month's Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge theme is to use gold+silver together.

An inspiration photo from their blog:

Here's my take on it with a bookmark first:

So Sorry

Card #4 using Altenew's Geometric Menagerie. I think this is the most CAS card I've made so far...until I sprayed some gold mist in the back! LOL. I'm trying, I promise.

You're Cool

Card #3 using Altenew's Geometric Menagerie. I did the messy background embossing on purpose. Letting go of perfectionism...sort of. :)

Without You

Card #2 using Altenew's Geometric Menagerie. I bought A LOT of patterned paper, so I really need to use them all now, lol.

Pride

I bought Altenew's Geometric Menagerie set over a month ago and now I finally have a chance to use it :) I decided to make 4 cards with similar colors, inspired by Altenew's own December challenge photo posted below.

I am in love with the soft colors. Getting out of my creative slump was a bit of a challenge. Hope you like the cards! I'll post each one in a separate post. :)

Thinking of You

Another card using Altenew's Sketchy Cities America:

I'm trying to make at least two cards of each design so I can stock up on cards. When I first started making cards in July, I tried to keep track of all the cards I was giving away to friends...and I can proudly say that I've made and given away at least 150 in the past 5 months. :) I made my first card July 21st without sentiment stamps at the time! I handwrote the happy birthday sentiment myself, lol. I've come a long way :)

Happy Thoughts

Fall semester has ended and I spent the first few days of winter break renovating my room and craft space. I'm happy with the new look :) I can post pictures of the space later. Here's one card I made recently using Altenew's Sketchy Cities America:

I get color-happy. I am working on making clean and simple cards...eventually! ;)

Thanks to everyone who left sweet comments on my posts. I wish everyone could be a winner! This is my first giveaway, and I was touched by a lot of the feedback so I decided to pick two winners using Random.org (and included bonus entries for those who are new followers).

Winner #1 is Sandi

Winner #2 is Janis

Congratulations, ladies! I’ve e-mailed you — just reply with your mailing address and I’ll have those goodies out by the end of the week!

I’ll have another giveaway next month when I reach six months of crafting — what a journey it’s been! I’ve learned so much and met some amazing crafters along the way. Once I finish my papers by Friday, I hope to have more cards to share on here. :) Have a great week!
