Cards, Sale and More

Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I have so many things to share with you.

I'm on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog with two AMAZING cards for you, showing off techniques that were inspired by Jenn's CASE-d card from yesterday. Check out that post again to refresh your memory. ;-)

And do leave me some love on the BRI blog. There is a 15% off sale on in-stock items until the end of the week. Take advantage and stock up on some of those goods! Code is CATSAWAY15.

I'm also on The Ton blog today with FIVE cards. Yes. Haha. They were really quite simple to make. I'm showing how you can create your own backgrounds.

Lately, I've been purging a lot of items from my craft room. I have been crafting for almost one year and am getting better about what kind of things I will use most. A huge thank you to everyone who has placed an order -- most things have shipped out already and I hope they arrive to you soon! I still have A LOT more and continue to update as I browse my stash. Check out that post here. Please message me if you have any questions!

Did you miss my first ever guest design post?! I was on the MarkerPop blog using Gorjuss stamps. Do check it out!

I've been working behind the scenes on my new website AND a shop for my cards. :) Hopefully they'll launch by the end of the month. Thank you to everyone for all their support and love! Have a great week.

Relax

If you're looking for The Ton's new release posts, go to day 1 post or day 2 post. I am also on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today with another Lawn Fawn scene! I tried watercoloring objects for the first time! I mean, I tried it before and it was kind of a fail so I didn't even show anyone... but thanks to a friend's suggestions, I changed the brushes I was using. And I'm so having so much fun now! This stamp set is pretty basic for a beach scene. I think using Copic markers would have been great, but I wanted to give watercoloring with distress inks a try. This took me a while since I'm so new to it... hope you like it! Please be gentle! ;-) Go to their blog to check for details on how this came together.

First, I used a unique size. I saw these watercolor cards 4x9 on an art website and thought they would be cool to use. The size is great for a beach scene, don't you think?! So I started with stamping the sand outline first in Antique Linen and then some waves in the back in Salty Ocean. I used the same inks to color in sand and water. I came in with Vintage Photo to add some shadowing to the sand. I used Mermaid Lagoon to add some shadowing to the waves. For the sun in the back, I used Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade. Using Antique Linen again, I stamped a bunch of the images from the set onto a separate watercolor sheet. I watercolored with various Distress Ink markers. Once they were all colored, I die-cut them and arranged them over the sand. I stamped some of the bird outlines in the back and stamped the sentiments "relax" and "life is good." I added in the periods with a black marker.

Many Thanks

Hi friends, I am up on The Ton blog with another sneak peek (and a little extra) of some of the stamps from their second release. Would LOVE for you to stop by! March 30th will be here before you know it, which is when we'll have our full reveals and The Ton will be taking pre-orders.

Last week, I shared the awesome news of being licensed now. I also was chosen to be on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Design Team from April to June 2015. I am so excited to be working with Vanessa and her sweet, talented team :) Our other DT member for The Ton, Jessica, was also picked. Can't tell you how thrilled we are! Please check out BRI's store as they have many great products with FAST shipping and great customer service. We all know how important that is. :)

I’m also hosting a giveaway on my personal Instagram. Check it out for more details on how to enter to win a stamp set.

I can't wait to be crafting and posting regularly again. Trust me, I've got lots of stamps that need to be inked up. I've just gotta get through the rest of the semester. ;-) Hope you're all well!
