In the Mood

Hello, crafty friends! The Ton's DT has some amazing cards to show off today. We are enrolled in Catherine Pooler's latest class called In the Mood, which showcases beautiful mood boards put together by StampNation DT member Maureen Merritt. I used Catherine's Mood Board Inspiration from here. If you feel your creative juices flowing, play along as well and link up to her blog!

I'm in love with mood boards. Certain color combinations can be so exquisite - like the one above! I wish I had more time to make more cards for you. :) But I'll leave you with this simple card featuring Heart Diamonds and the sentiment from our popular Pyrotechnics set.

I started with some watercolor paper slightly smaller than size A2 and stamped the largest heart diamond outline with Ranger Archival black ink in rows. For the free watercoloring, I used the following Distress Inks: Dusty Concord, Peacock Feathers, and Picked Raspberry.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark on black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I fussy cut around it and added it to the bottom with foam tape. Lastly, I taped the white cardstock piece over cardstock that matched with one of the colors.

Thanks for visiting! Check out everyone else's card to see how they were inspired by the gorgeous mood board.

The winner of the I Got You stamp set, sponsored by The Ton, specifically for my blog subscribers, was Shelly Kurth.

The winner of my Instagram Mama Elephant Photo Bomb stamp was IG user @junglebarrya.

You're Amazing

I have a post today featuring The Ton's first cling rubber stamp called Peony Background. It's such a gorgeous, unique stamp that is big enough to cover A2 size cards. It is slightly bigger so you can decide how you want to center it since it has solid and outline peonies on it.

For these cards, I used my MISTI to stamp the background with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder and coral embossing powder (Stampin Up Calypso Coral, has been discontinued now) for the second one. Look how gorgeous it looks! I love that sheen!

The banner is from My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Fishtail Flag Stax and the "You're Amazing" stamp is from Papertrey Ink's Doodlie-Do. I added foam tape behind banner and attached some vellum behind it before taping it down the center of the card.

Here's the card with the coral embossing. I did the same exact things but just used a different color for the background. The card looks more beautiful in person!

A comparison of both. You can create a bunch of these quickly as a gift set. They are classy and feminine.

Of course, I have matching envelopes. :)

I appreciate all the time everyone has taken out to leave me some comments. Since I've been busy otherwise, I haven't been able to write my posts in detail but I know you're enjoying the photos! Be sure to check out my post for Butterfly Reflections Ink this week, my post for The Ton this week, my entry for the WPlus Throwback Thursday Challenge, my coffee cards from Tuesday and Wednesday, my notecards using Get It Girl and Mini Wild Florals from yesterday, and my giveaway posts on my blog and Instagram.

Uplifting Notecards

I'm sharing a small project with you today. When I first got The Ton's Get It Girl and Mini Wild Florals, I thought of creating notecards for friends. These are perfect to give as a gift set or even insert with handmade cards. Let me walk you through the steps of how I created these so you can create them, too! It's so simple. Who wouldn't want one of these, right?

I used the center die from Lil Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Dual-Stitched Dies to cut out 8 of these cards. I stamped all the sentiments first with a black dye ink and then the florals with Altenew and Papertrey Ink ink pads.

Then I placed all of the cards in one of these laminating pockets and ran it through my laminator

I used my paper trimmer to cut around the cards. Look how bright and wonderful they look! Receiving these kinds of notecards would totally make my day. Here's a closer look:

I am sure that you can even create light backgrounds and then stamp the sentiment or even heat emboss it on top before laminating. There are so many different ways you can do these, including watercoloring, too!

I wanted to share how I send my happy mail. The cards below were ones I posted last week for The Ton during their release week. You can insert a notecard with a card such as I will below.

Lately I've been inserting one of these "I Am That Girl" quotes with some of the cards I've sent out. I think it's a beautiful reminder to have. This is going to a dear friend, too.

So what do you think? Is this something you will try? If you are inspired by this post, be sure to link to me and let me know what you create! I love being inspired and inspiring others!

Thanks so much for visiting. Be sure to check out my post for Butterfly Reflections Ink this week, my post for The Ton yesterdaymy entry for the WPlus Throwback Thursday Challenge, my coffee card from Tuesday and Wednesday, and my giveaway posts on my blog and Instagram.

Geek Love

I was so excited over Avery Elle's latest release and couldn't wait to ink up Geek Love. Here are two cards I was able to create before I head out to FL. :) My page will be quiet for a few days, but I'll be back before you know it!

I stamped, colored and fussy cut these two adorable geeks. I stamped the word bubbles and fussy cut them as well. The background was blended with various distress inks. And then I stamped the little heart on the front and colored with Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush. I tried to make them look like they were holding hands. That heart die is from the Geek Love Elle-ments Dies. :) SOO CUTE.

I'm also loving the Wonky Stitches Elle-Ments Dies! They add such nice details to the card. I decided to use the heart I die-cut from the piece above and colored it with distress markers. Then, I added some of my usual mists to it and colored with Zig Wink of Stella Clear brush as well. You cannot see the glitter - it's hard to capture, but I love how basic these are!

The sentiment for this card is awesome! ;-)

Thanks so much for visiting. Be sure to check out my post for Butterfly Reflections Ink this week, my post for The Ton today, my entry for the WPlus Throwback Thursday Challenge, my coffee card from yesterday and today, and my giveaway posts on my blog and Instagram. Hello

This is my first time playing along with WPlus9 Throwback Thursday Challenge over on their blog. I love their products and was sooo excited to find this beautiful stamp set, which I believe is discontinued now. I found Chantilly Trim set here. I also used the Hand Lettered Hello die for the sentiment.

For Challenge #5, I was inspired by the colors that Maureen used in her card below. I used Cockleshell, Lake House, and Beanstalk dye inks.

I stamped the lace border and the floral arrangement with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a really nice sheen!

Here's a closer look at my card. I used one of the gorgeous border dies from Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Borders 2 Dies

I die-cut the 'hello' four times for dimension. Those purple dots are from Irresistable Pico Embellisher in Lulu Lavender.

I am loving how this turned out. It's so feminine and pretty. I will definitely make more of these for my friends. :-)

Don't forget to check out my posts from earlier today, featuring my cute shaker card on Butterfly Reflections Ink blog and my second entry for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. There's still time to enter all three of my giveaways. :-) Thanks for visiting, and thanks for all the birthday wishes! I am having a great month so far and feel absolutely loved. So many great things are yet to come.  ♥ ♥

You > Awesome

I am squeezing in another card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop :-) There are so many cool prizes, sponsors, blog candy, eye candy, and inspiration so be sure to hop along!!!! You can find my special birthday card post on Butterfly Reflections Ink blog... :) It's my birthday today so leave some love! :)

Here's a card using Lil' Inker Designs coffee sets, including the one: Coffee Cozy and Coffee Talk (from their newest release). The top sentiment is from Avery Elle's Geek Love.

I really tried to add some specific details for the drinks, with water droplets and glossy glass look. I added gold Pic Embellisher for the caramel drizzle on the left frappuccino. Added some splatters in the back for a messy coffee look. The sentiments look like notes.

Check out all the cool sponsors!!!
