Welcome to my last day of my Growing in Unity Girl week!!! I am happy that I was able to share some of my creations with you. I've listed all the days below to make it easier for you to find my posts.

Day 5 Friday (this post)

For today's post, I used Strength & Dignity {KOM 11/13} and Faceless Beauty to create a colorful shaker card. These are always so fun to create and especially since I have switched over to using fun foam instead of foam tape.

I used Lil Inker Designs' Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Rectangles Dies to die-cut the outer frame from watercolor paper and then taped acetate sheet behind it. I took a size A2 watercolor paper for the inner part of the shaker and stamped the big flower from Strength & Dignity a few times with VersaMark ink. I heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiment from Faceless Beauty with VersaMark ink and heat embossed that in gold, too. Embossing is a great resistant when coloring. I used Altenew inks in Ruby Red, Grapevine and Warm Sunshine to do the watercoloring of the flowers. I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to color in blue around the flowers. I didn't color the whole background since I felt like leaving some part of it white would look good.

Once that was all done, I started filling the card with some sequins and beads from The Ton. This card is pretty full. A lot of the times, my friends don't know that you're supposed to shake a shaker...lol. So it's a good way to shake the card so you can read the sentiment. ;-) Hope you enjoyed my cards from this week! I have a new site I'm launching before the end of the month as well as an Etsy shop. Feel free to subscribe and/or check me on Instagram, where I tend to post the most.

Be sure to comment on each GIU post. I will be choosing two winners randomly from all comments — they will receive 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Co. The winners will be announced on my blog next Monday, July 20, and they will have two weeks to claim their prize.

Thank you so much for visiting! ♡♡♡

  11. This shaker card is so pretty and I love how you left part of it white for the sentiment. I think it highlights the words wonderfully. I have never made a shaker card because the thought of having to deal with all that foam tape, and little teeny items that would all probably end up on the floor instead of the card, just scares me! So I just enjoy seeing the ones that other crafters make!
