Kind of Amazing

Hi friends, I'm back with my second post as guest designer for MarkerPop this month! MarkerPop is a store, based in California, that carries a lot of amazing brands including Mama Elephant, Lawn Fawn, Paper Smooches, Gorjuss, Tim Holtz, and a wide range of coloring mediums. Check out my post and leave a comment there, letting me know what you think of my card. :)

My first card for Markerpop can be found here:

The card I have for today features WPlus9 products.

With some masking, I stamped the giraffes from WPlus9's Party Animal and the tree stump from Happy Mail with Ranger black dye ink on watercolor paper. I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: 060 Brown, 062 Dark Brown, 064 Oatmeal, 066 Dark Oatmeal, 071 Flesh Colour, and 220 Tea Rose. I didn't add any water to them. I masked them and watercolored the background with some distress inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Hickory Smoke, Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Lawn. Once it was dry, I sprayed with Hero Arts Unicorn White ink spray. I stamped the balloon from Party Animal on separate watercolor paper and watercolored in Mermaid Lagoon. Once it was dry, I die-cut it and attached some fun foam behind it. The sentiments are from Unforgettable.

I die-cut the frame using stitched rectangle dies and taped it to acetate sheet. I colored it with a Zig Clean Color Real Brush in the color 023 Scarlet Red. For this part, I did add water since I was coloring a larger area. I added more fun foam behind the frame and attached the balloon to the frame so I would know where to draw the balloon string. I filled the inside with Pretty Pink Posh sequins that matched the colors I used and then taped down the top frame.

Zig Clean Color Brush Pens can be found in sets of 12, 2436, 48, and 60. There are 80 colors altogether, and I highly recommend them! They are also sold individually.

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving some love. I appreciate it! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.

Hello Friend

Hi friends, I'm so excited to share that I'm guest designing with MarkerPop today! :)

Here's the card I have for today:

This card is bigger than what I normally work with. The card base is 5x7 and the front piece is slightly smaller. I stamped the girl on the left using My Favorite Things black hybrid ink since it is Copic-friendly. I masked her while I stamped the second girl next to her. I used Copic Sketch markers to color both of them -- I believe these stamps are perfect for practicing my coloring. Once I was satisfied with how they came out, I stamped the frame with VersaMark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant's new set Sunday Sentiments inside along the curve of the frame. I finished it off with some gems and beautiful turquoise twine.

For more information on which Copic colors I used, please visit the MarkerPop post for details.

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving some love. I appreciate it! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.

Hello

This is my first time playing along with WPlus9 Throwback Thursday Challenge over on their blog. I love their products and was sooo excited to find this beautiful stamp set, which I believe is discontinued now. I found Chantilly Trim set here. I also used the Hand Lettered Hello die for the sentiment.

For Challenge #5, I was inspired by the colors that Maureen used in her card below. I used Cockleshell, Lake House, and Beanstalk dye inks.

I stamped the lace border and the floral arrangement with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a really nice sheen!

Here's a closer look at my card. I used one of the gorgeous border dies from Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Borders 2 Dies

I die-cut the 'hello' four times for dimension. Those purple dots are from Irresistable Pico Embellisher in Lulu Lavender.

I am loving how this turned out. It's so feminine and pretty. I will definitely make more of these for my friends. :-)

Don't forget to check out my posts from earlier today, featuring my cute shaker card on Butterfly Reflections Ink blog and my second entry for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. There's still time to enter all three of my giveaways. :-) Thanks for visiting, and thanks for all the birthday wishes! I am having a great month so far and feel absolutely loved. So many great things are yet to come.  ♥ ♥
