Coffee Lovers Bloghop #2

Thank you for the comments!!!

And this is my second card for the same bloghop :) I used the same stamp sets, but did it a bit differently! These critters are absolutely adorable!!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop #1

Hi! I'm excited to play along with Chaitali's Coffee Lovers Bloghop today in celebration of National Coffee Day! Seriously, I wish I could write on everyone's posts! The creations are AMAZING! And thanks SO MUCH for leaving me comments! I appreciate it.

I bought a cup of coffee this morning at work, and then I also received a free cup from Dunkin' Donuts, but guess what? Work was so busy that the cups just sat there all day. Needless to say, I was pretty sad that I didn't get to enjoy coffee on coffee day.

Anyway, here's my first card. I used critter's from Mama Elephant's Love Quotes set and the coffee-related stamps from Simon Says Stamp October kit.

You can play along, too! There are some amazing prizes from the following sponsors. Also you need to comment on at least three other blogs participating! :)

I'll answer the optional questions on coffee :)

1. When did you start drinking coffee?
I worked at Dunkin' Donuts when I was 17! It was only for a month, but I'm pretty sure that's how I was exposed to coffee. I've been drinking tea since adolescence though because it's the norm within my culture. It became more of a habit in college, you know, to go along with all the studying. :)

2. What is favorite brand (you can name up to three).
I'm not picky about brands, to be honest. I will drink anything as long as it isn't dark roast or too bitter. I like Starbucks blond roast, Dunkin Donuts, Tim Holtz, and even the small breakfast carts in NYC. :)

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?

I've liked lots of coffee that I've tried. Not picky about coffee--picky about my food though ;)

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee, I will...
Be irritable. As a caffeine addict, I use it to calm myself. It's definitely an important part of my routine. When home, I prefer our homemade tea. When out, I get coffee.

Bookmarks FWF

Besides cards, I LOVE making bookmarks, which is what I wanted to share for this week's Friends with Flair. There are plenty of books I read without reading all the way in a specific period of time, so I need...plenty of bookmarks. You can click on the images to zoom in. :) Enjoy!

Sept Challenges

This is for Mama Elephant's September challenge:

I made two easel cards, using kraft + black + white color combinations. For some reason, I absolutely love these colors together! I used stamps from Mama Elephant's Pandamonium and True Friend. The sentiment at the bottom is from Unity Stamp Co. Sorry, I took these pics at night time. Lighting is better during day, but I wanted to share it anyway.

Housewarming Party Challenge

I'm entering Catherine Pooler's Housewarming Party challenge.

This is the card - using Mama Elephant's In My Heart stamp set. I was excited to use window and grass die cuts. I cut out a lot of other things so I can use them for cards later. Again, it's been difficult putting cards together - my desk gets so messy and I find that too many hours have gone by.

TE Sketch, Selfie, Share Challenge

Challenges are a great way to practice different sketches and techniques when it comes to crafting. Mostly I've entered in Unity Stamp Co.'s challenges because I have a lot of their stamps. Here, I'm entering Taylored Expressions: Sketch, Selfie and Share Challenge. The last thing I wanted to do today was take a selfie. I'm exhausted so I'm hiding behind the card, lol. I decided to quickly make a card before I get to the hundreds of pages of reading that awaits me. The joy! :)

I used a sentiment from Mama Elephant's Make a Wish set, Stampin' Up's Petite Petals plus punch, and Zig Wink of Stella clear glitter marker brush (you can't see it in the pictures below but it's traced over the sentiments and stars). I love the Kraft cardstock (it's from Papertrey Ink). This card will be for one of my close friends -- I don't want to say the name because she may be reading this entry :) Although her birthday is two months away, I am trying to stock up on some cards because school will keep me quite busy otherwise. Hope you like it.

And here's a selfie of me plus a close-up of the card itself.
